Aussie Frigate

Another ship for 1932.

The FF-1 class frigates where good ships. But they where considered to big and expensive for their role. The RAN decided to go with a smaller ship that could be mass produced in case of war. The FF-11 was the result. Based heavily on the FF-1 class, the FF-11 is 150 tons cheaper, they carry one less 120mm gun and 2 less 40mm guns. The FF-11 will also be built in a Multi Purpose Version with a quarterdeck and only one 120mm gun.

Not a bad little escort - is there merit in trimming the length to 70 m to facilitate construction in class zero slips?

Adding some miscelleanoues weight - ~20 t - would allow for a more complete ASW suite; you have the hull strength for it.

I dont have any Type 0 slips or docks so length isnt a problem.

I can easily add 15 more tons of misc weight, so will do.

If you can do it, I'd strongly suggest making 'em fit in Type 0 slips (and particularly docks) - that way they'll be easier to find docks for if damaged. These things happen at the damndest times...

Well there are only 2 Type 0 docks in the Pacific at Singapore, and theres 4 other bigger docks there. Reducing their length means sacrificing some important stuff so Ill take my chances.
