Rebuilt Danish Cruiser for Siam

The Royal Siamese Navy has reached an agreement to acquire the "orphaned" Danish Jutland-class light cruiser Sjaelland. As part of the deal, she will recieve a comprehensive rebuild, including:

- Reshaped, clipper bow, with additional scheer.

- Installation of three twin 57mm AA, one each side of the bridge and the third on the fantail.

- Removal of underwater torpedo tubes; replacement of abovewater tubes with 21".

- Additional deck armour.

- New engines and increased bunkerage.

- Flag officers' facilities.

- Climate control.
