3. July
President Chiang Kai-shek and Chi Peng, the Minister for internal affairs, visit the province Shaanxi, in order to make itself a picture of the destruction and/or devastation of the country. In an interview the Primierminister expresses itself "It is a large disaster those our country met, but owing to many untiring aid progresses the assistance rapidly. Particularly shocking is however the high number of the victims. Over 4000 humans lost their life by this natural catastrophe . Our condolence and sympathy applies for humans, who lost relatives."


07. July
Beginning development of the arsenal in close proximity to Nangking, in order to be able to make here soon the manufacturing of the "Rhino-half-track-vehicle". The construction work progresses, and it can be assumed toward end of the yearl, the first vehicles of the volume will roll.


11. July
From America the ordered airplanes arrived. While the Fighters (20 Curtiss P-6E; 20 Boeing P-12E) were distributed on airfields around Shanghai, the 10 PN-1 Flightboats are stationed in Taku, to patrol the Yellow Sea . The Patrolflights can be expanded owing to the agreement between China and Japan up to the Japanese islands.


19. July
The President of the EURASIA reminded again all airplane manufacturers of the Flugshow in Nanking and hopes for a large participation. The Junkers machines ordered in Germany reach Nanking and after an extensive check they are transferred to the fleet of the EURASIA. The 5 machines of the type Ju G.31 are used between Beijing and Shanghai as well as between Beijing and Nangking. While the 3 Ju G.38 will serve the distance to Edo and Yokohama.


24. July
According to rumors the Gangchuan-aircraft-plants work on a new fighter.
The data of the fighter may be a speed of ~ 300 km/h. A range of 500 km and a service ceiling of ~ 8000m.

Due to the rising passenger numbers of the EURASIA aviation Coorp. the airline orders 10 Junkers Ju52/1m as well as 10 Junkers Ju52/3m at the Junkers-aircraft-plants in Dessau (Germany).

14. August
In front of the Chinese consulate on HAINAN DAO it comes to excesses between a Pro-China demonstration and the local police. There were unfortunately dozens of arrests as well as dozens of hurt one.

Owing to the Do-15 Flightboats supplied from Germany now a Patroullie over the South-Chinese-Sea can be finally furnished, in order to find the “Ning Hai”. Admiral Cin Dao shifted therefore also the Chinese flagship after Shanghai, in order to be able to react as fast as possible.

15. August
On the property of the Chinese consulate some “refugees” hid themselves . They hope that they reach with their protest that Hainan Dao is returned to China . Outside of the property of the consulate the police took position and blocked the area spaciously.
The Chinese consul Wan Ci Pao speaks of conditions beneath human dignity in the consulate, since both water and food become slowly limited.

On the large troop exercise area in the province XINJIANG the first common maneuver between Japan and China begins.

The Force Red:

Chinese armed forces:
7th Division => Lieutenant colonel Liu Bojian
3th Division => Major Deng Pufang

Commander in chief of the troops of the Force Red is the japanese Major General Shuroku Hata

The Force Blue:
Japanese armed forces:
2nd Division => Major General Sugiyama Gen

Chinese armed forces:
2th Division => Lieutenant colonel Zhao Shiyan
22th Division => General Hua Guofeng

Commander in chief of the troops of the Force Blue is the chinese General Hua Guofeng

Special attention puts the Chinese military guidance in this maneuver on the use of Japanese tanks.


19. August
The conditions on and/or in the Chinese consulate on Hainan Dao become ever more chaotic. Meanwhile over 100 “refugees” are on the area.

28. August
The airplanes ordered in Germany reach Shanghai. After a ceremony the machines are subordinated to the Chinese air Force and are stationed on an airfield near Beijing, the 20 He51 Fighters are building the XX.Fighter-Wing . The 10 Junkers K.51 bomber form the I.bomber squadron and serve additionally also the training of Chinese pilots at heavy bombers.

3. September
From India the first 5 machines of the type M-8 as well as the first 10 bombers of the type AA-3 arrived. The bombers serve, exactly the same as the Junkers machines to improve in addition the handling with large airplanes.

The M-8-Flightboats are assigned to the Chinese navy and have to observe the Luzon-Street and the East China Sea.


7.September:
In the iron work in Wuhan occur a heavy misfortune when blowing on a blast furnace. 32 workers are killed and two heavily hurt. By a burning through of a fuse the warning bell had failed




23.September:
In the port of Quingdao the “Ciao Ming” , a ship of the CSO (Chinese Shipping organization),will also be loaded with on the Philippines urgently needed auxiliary goods.Thus hundreds of gas masks from army existence in addition, covers and medicines as well as food were already shipped. The ship leaves Quingdao on 27 September. The ship is accompanied with the two light cruisers “Wenshan” and “Ying Jui” as well as the two torpedoboats Huangfen 601 and 603 .

27.September:
The epidemic reached meanwhile the mainland.

Us from the city Xiapu was just announced likewise cases of the mysterious illness.

Who the victims are and like them were infected, is not well-known. In order to prevent a wide propagation of the epidemic in the province Fujian, over the city Xiapu the martial law was imposed and the city was explained as the quarantine city. Thus any traffic is prevented into the city to land, to water and in the air. Units of the 47. Infantrydivision control all roads into the city.

The 47.ID is fully equiped with gasmasked so that we hope we can stop the epedemic.

29. September
This picture was taken up this morning in the proximity of the Gangchuan aircraft plants. It shows the newest prototype, the Gangchuan F-2.

30.September
The illness demands ever more victims among the inhabitants of Xiapu. Above all the Fischer quarters in the proximity of the port, and the arm quarters at the edge of the city with their unhygienic conditions, are the ideal fertile soil for the epidemic disease. The hospital in the city is completely overloaded and can treat no more all cases. Many patient sent after a short investigation again homewards, since simply no place is more present. For this reason the army furnished a provisional hospital at the edge of the city. There the physicians and male nurse are all together dressed with gas masks, in order to have a sufficient protection in relation to the illness.
Up to now scarcely one hundred humans died at the epidemic. The corpses are, in order to prevent a further propagation, burned.

Additionally to the soldiers naturally also numerous Volunteers help to fight against the epidemic.

Since it came meanwhile in the city to plunderings, the police is strengthened by soldiers. For this reason also policemen were equipped with gas masks.

Here you can see a chinese policeman with a gasmask. Also the horses get gas masks, since is not yet clarified whether the virus also can strike them .
