Indian Naval Developments - Q3/1921

A. Industrial Allocation

6/10 factories producing warship material = 6,000 t, plus a stockpile of 199 t, for 6,199 t. 6,024 t is used, leaving 175 t stockpiled

4/10 factories dedicated to producing infrastructure material = 0.4 pts
“Bonus” infrastructure points for all 4 factories to be produced in Q4

B. Infrastructure Development

0 pts invested; Factory Eleven remains incomplete at 8.5 pts

C. Naval Construction

D3: Collier/Carrier conversion Bhima receives 650 t; completed 15/8/21 and renamed “Otta ”

Three 100 t motor torpedo boats are completed in commercial facilities.

D. Transactions

India transfers 0.4 pts of infrastructure points to South Africa as partial payment for BB Uruguay ; points are available for South African usage in Q4/21.

E. Other Notes

CA Bangalore , CL Jaipur , and DD G-128 continue their shakedown cruises.

DD G-129 and CV Otta begin shakedown cruises.

Purchase of the Uruguay is costing India 2.0 infrastructure points, with 0.4 pts paid in Q3, and 0.8 pts being paid in Q4. 0.8 pts have been paid prior to this quarter.

New units laid down this quarter: Three torpedo boats.

The G131 class of destroyers is deferred to the fourth quarter due to late design changes.

Naval Estimates for 1922 are being prepared and will be released in Q4.
