First the class is called Viper...
... then it is called Wulf...
... and finally it is called Fenris...
... so how often do you change the names of your ships, Hooman?

Well, as I said somewhere else - this is one of my oldest designs ever. And waaaay back in time I called her VIPER.

However, for the RSAN I decided to name destroyers after snakes (later in the 30s, two classes most likely) and hence needed a new name for the destroyer leader above. So I choosed FENRIS which is a legendary wulf. Her sisters will also be named after certain wulf or wulf-like creatures.

So when I called her Wulf I was referring to her class, not an individual ship. :o)

Naming ships is a difficult thing, isn´t it? ;o)

Well, you could have decided that RSAN Wulf is the first ship of the class, but that's not the case.

Naming ships is a piece of cake. Coming up with original names is something else.

Btw, looks like you survived Koninginendag. :o) I had no idea it was last weekend - until I stood in front of the Kroon Passage in Den Helder and it was closed. On Suterday 1 p.m.! I then soon found out why there was music on the streets and so many people wearing orange stuff.... :oP

Remember that that is nothing compared to what will happen when the Dutch National Soccer team wins the World Cup!! 1988 (when the Dutch became European Champions) was hell here... The horror! The horror! Fortunately should the Dutch win this year (which I hope won't happen) I'll be in the Rocky Mountains somewhere.
Hope you still managed to enjoy yourself among all those crazy people.

The same reason why I name a variety of ships after Anime/Manga characters? At least I assume they are songs you enjoy...
... of course a song you hate is an excellent victim for sinking in the near future, right?. ^_^

Losers, right? They lost to Germany in 1974 and to Argentina in 1978.
Let's hope it stays that way. :-)
