Indeed, completing two factories this year

is intimidating as hell.... That's another 2,000 tons/quarter next year.

And no problem adding in the monitors and gunboats. I've got some too:

I'm begining to get the feeling we need to exclude Canadian resources from UK access completely. We have a situation here that some of us were orriginally opposed to, a powerhouse running away from the pack.

Sorry I should have raised my voice about this earlier but given the fact that the U.S. has been downsized infrastructure wise I seem to have missed the point where we didn't decide to do the same with the UK.

The RN Powerhouse

I'm a bit less concerned, considering he's got a huge empire to cover, and as has been mentioned before, the RN's dominance of the WesWorld is still less than the RN's historical position.

I've not observed a propensity to abuse his position, and if he does, we'll just all gang up on 'im... ;-)

Without changing economy rules we can't do anything about it. KISS is more or less working for the moment.

It'd be a good idea to have lots and lots of gunboats/sloops/frigates. Maybe overkill on the light cruisers.

...we could remove Canada from the mix...IIRC concern about this issue was already expressed. I was under the assumtion that Canada was a separate entity, particularily now that someone has expressed interest in playing them.

I am considering Canada as a separate entity from 1930, unless ShinRa is taking over from that date. If this is not the case, I will be apportioning construction et al to Canada on a per factory basis, using the ratios as at the start of 1929.

Potentially, this could put Canada in a better position than would otherwise be expected, but that's the main objection I can see to my proposal.

I think with or without Shinra at the helm we could simply cut off Canada in 1930 and treat it as an entirely separate NPC. Once someone took over we could discuss what the acumulated IP's/materials went towards if Shinra is unable to take over in 1930.

I'm suprised Canada wasn't seperated off at the same time Australia was. But I think I'll sit back and be quiet while everyone sorts out what's going on. :x

13

Sunday, February 5th 2006, 2:26am

Well we didn't have a player for Canada at the time.

Note that in the report the "new factories" still have their "pre-Australia" numbers.

Agree that "10 for Canada as of Q1/30" sounds reasonable.

As for the UK being overpowered...they are still the naval superpower in WW, since the USN didn't have the WW1 springboard here.

IC-wise, Australia and Canada seem fairly similar in their situations, I just would've thought that if Australia was going to get 'independance', similar thoughts would've been made towards Canada. But I said I'd be quiet!

USN doesn't seem like something to be discounted here, either.
