I'm guessing the factories being built should be #54, 55, 56, & 57? At least that's what I get from the line that says the total number of factories is currently 53.....

Thursday, January 12th 2006, 10:13pm

Yes, for accounting purposes there are only 53 factories. The gap of 10 accounts for the Australian ones.

Cheers,

Ah, OK, that explains it.

What were we thinking when we set UK limits?!!

That we ought to be VERY nice to whomever plays the UK! :)

53 includes 10 for Canada.

Cheers,

But by the time we get a separate Canada, you will have replaced all those factories you 'lost' to Australia... and the 10 you will give to Canada will be replaced in no time at all!!

I have to agree. Are you using Canada's factory's to build more for the UK? Were Australia's factory's used this way as well?

13

Saturday, January 14th 2006, 12:50pm

I will consider a proportion of new factories to be located in Canada. For example, consider Canada to have 10 factories and the rest of the British Empire (excluding Australia) 40. If 5 factories are built, the fifth would be considered Canadian - keeping the two in proportion.

Does this sound fair?

More than fair, I'd say.

That pretty much sums up French and Russian policy relating to the British Empire...

And it has its uses. About the best way to prevent a naval arms race is having an unmistakable capacity to win it...

Sure. I trust the change will produce only a small reduction in the awe/fear factor ;-)

"Shock and Awe, old chap. Now how about a spot of tea, eh what?"

18

Actually, if you divided it in proportion to the docks and slips then IIRC it was 8:1:1 for UK:Canada, Australia/NZ (5-6 factories for each) but I wont go there.

Cheers,

I might go for the 8:1 ratio, if that doesn't seem too unfair. After all, what's a factory without a slip?

Ok, stupid question.

So... 8 factories for the UK... and 1 Factory for Canada and Australia.
So in a sense that gives a ratio of 16:1:1...
(I assume you forgot another "1", right?)

Much, much more than a slip without a factory.

Oh? Didn't realize it was a stupid question.
