After surveying the damage incurred during the "Battle of the South China Sea" with the 'Revolutionary' San Pablo, the MdF has decided that battleship Manila will not be repaired.

"It's fortunate, really," said an unidentified MdF officer. "We were originally planning to scrap Manila this year before this political thing blew up, so this is essentially a "non-loss" for us."

In other news, it has been decided that the cruiser Panay, which mutinied to the 'Revolutionary' cause and was captured by Indian vessels, will not be reclaimed by the MdF but rather transferred to India for scrapping.

Manila has been sunk!

While underway from Puerto Princesca to Butuan for scrapping due to her age and damage suffered in the Battle of the South China Sea, the battleship Manila was torpedoed by a Revolutionary vessel in the Mindanao Sea. The rebel ship, believed to be an "Indomito" type destroyer escort, appears to have been able to sneak in in the darkness and put two torpedoes into the old pre-Dreadnought. Mortally wounded, her capitan was able to beach her on the northern shore of Mindanao, while the offending Red ship appears to have escaped as Manila's escort, the destroyer Halcón, was forced to break off pursuit to aid her charge.

The Indian naval forces in Kaoshiun have sortied. The Navy declined to comment on their destination, citing a need for operational security.

A significant quantity of soldiers were seen boarding vessels during the night - not only the requisitioned passenger liners, but also two destroyers. The Army refused to comment on the movement of its troops, but there is significant activity in the tent city that briefly housed the troops, activity which suggests that the remainder of the division is preparing to depart this Formosan city.
