I think you need far more time that talent to build that fleet, YIKES!

Time is the BIG thing involved, as for the skills...... well they come with practice!

I've been building models since I was 7, ( I bought my first kit, a 1:72 scale Spitfire from Airfix - packaged in a plastic bag!) and have been at it ever since. And I've found that a lot of the skills from building models, transfer over to building full size items, furniture for example, so I don't see why they shouldn't transfer back.

You probably have all the skills you need, you just need practice!

In haven't touched a model for months now but I have tons to do should I rekindle the interest. Its no surprize the bulk of my models are 1:700 scale ships, but I also have 1:72 scale aircraft and armor.

On my living room entertainment center I have 1:72 models of a Hurricane, Spitfire, Lancaster, Typhoon and Blenheim. I have a nice Heller 1:400 scale model of the Hood I'd like to tackle, theres even room to add detail.
