That´s a lot of empty space on your slips... Why is this? No need for more or modern destroyers, escorts, minesweepers, submarines etc.?

Seems someone hit it square on the nails' head .


First batch of Z53 destroyers will be started next year after completion of the Breda class CLs. Remember that my first intention was to build 12 DDs per year but someone (I think it was Rocky) pointed out at a potential "block obsolescence" problem so I decided to launch 12 each 2 years and build soomething else in the meantime.

Also a number of submarines will be built. ASW ships too. F.1 frigates are more than ageing and need replacement. This will have to wait until the "Utretchs" are completed, tho.

Also, during 1928 two 18000 ton CVs will be started.



When Factory #15 is completed, infrastructure priority will be downgraded (and I'll have 1000 tons more to play with each quarter) and the dutch navy will have a chance to focus on the CVs and smaller ships until the replacement BBs for the Zeven Provinciën and Ijselijks are started.


But for now between completing the factory ,building the Bredas and finishing the Utretchs, I have my hands full. Not many things I can do for now...
