Hurricane Season

Well, the "other six months of the bloody year" begins today.

Hopefully the excite-o-meter will top out a little lower than it did last year?!

I'll hope so on your behalf. Having sat through Hurriance Juan in Halifax, I'd have to think that a proper hurricane is quite the pain in the arse.

Best of luck with the dreaded Hurricane season. Don't go out there and do something foolish. Your explosive ideas are... special to us.

Good news: we get sales tax off a whole buncha supply stuff through the 12th.

Tho I wonder why they left plywood off the list. ^_^

Bad news: this season is expected to have an "above-average" number of storms...again. :-(

As always, I reccomend the Central Florida Hurricane Center site.

I know one model is apparently favoring the Carolinas to be Mother Nature's bitch this year. Thrills me to know end! Makes This Site look more and more interesting!

Come on out the Califorina. We only go shaking up the place in a big way even ten or more years...and it only lasts a minute or so. Unlike the Hurricane Season....were it happens every year.

What about the reinforced concrete, armor plate and the do-it-yourself underground 'miniature' bunkers? Are they on the list or were they left from the list as well?

Shees come to Arizona.
No Hurricanes, No Earthquakes, No Tornados.
I've yet to find a major natural disaster in AZ.

I've found that taunting fate is a dangerous thing. Maybe the reason Arizona hasn't had a recent major disaster is because *Insert Deity* is cooking up a real humdinger? Don't forget Meteor Crater... :)

Yes, but look at the folks who live there....
(Old joke about the lack of natural disasters in Brazil)

Actually, Arizona does get the occasional tropical storm, up the Gulf of California...

And plenty of dust devils, too.

Then there's the roadrunners...

I thought you were looking at Vermont?

Still time to evacuate!

In his moment of triumph?

One...

And so it begins.

We're just outside the probability cone...so far.

Currently a 10% probability of tropical storm force winds (34kts) at the ol' home place, and a 3% prob for 50kt winds.

Who do you have to bribe to keep it that way?

16

Thursday, June 9th 2005, 6:18pm

God

17

Thursday, June 9th 2005, 6:22pm

What do you intend to use in order to bribe God?

Good behaviour is not an option; we're talking about Swampy.

Exactly.

Well, failing that, try your local indian. Should be some Seminole around your area still.
