I´m really impressed by the speed Greece is building up its forces. Looks like they´re preparing for another war.

(It also shows what´s possible with powergaming and that we really should have added a rule to handle the total number of enlisted men or money available for fleets in general.)

Italy has also noted these developments and are responding in kind.

2 new carriers, more cruisers, more destroyers, loads of torpedo boats, more submarines.

Sigh.... looks like Atlantis and Turkey will have to look out for their interests too.

According to Donald Rumsfeld, I'd have to go to war with the navy I have not the navy I want. Greece is non-aligned so will have to provide for it's own security - not live off someone elses.

I'll push the envelope to see what happens. I think in engineering principles its called 'test to destruction'. The concept is tempo, build up and then stay there. It wouldn't work in a real world. I'd have to deal with fluctuating budgets which would make this a headache - as trying to carry big programs through are.

I almost thought of picking up Microsoft Project for this - as a learning exercise ; )

I agree with Hoo, the economic measure should be something else than what we have (tons). More complexity? Perhaps we should call a torpedo 0.5 of a small craft. ; )

Cheers,

Economics

Again...that should be in the 'Lessons Learned' file for WesWorld2. Which I have a few ideas for, and can post if you'd like me to share them. :-) However, the current game should be allowed to play out under the original rules.

I disagree, economics are a HUGE factor in ship building program, no lessons needed to be learned there. Without economics, as Turkey I could start maxing out my building capacity but that wouldn't be very realistic.
