That's cuz we're Japanese. We can do everything better... Except for blowing up our ships. The Filipinos are true masters in that. :-)

"I am the Master, and I shall explode you!"

Shouldn't that be...

"I am the Master, and I shall explode myself!"

Yes, but not in the case of Saigun, during which the French also got some BLAM their way.

Not in Doctor Who. :-)

Hey, I can't help it if they got in the way! ;-)

Same here...
... and for some weird reason, I accidentally hit the send button instead of the quote button when working on a PM.

I agree. They should have stationed their ships somewhere else...

How about stationing them at Vladivostok?

Right. The less people and ships around, the less damage can be caused by exploding Filipino ships in Saigon.

...and more ships in Vladivostok!

Just make sure that any Filipino ship heads for Saigon and not for Vladivostok!

( All letters in brackets are pronounced VERY softly, almost silently!!)

I won´t spoil your fun but back to the original question:

Will we get a drawing of those little ships?

As Wes pointet out, the drafters of the original design looked through many of their source books and found out that there was no need to limit the number of guns on those small ships as it is not realistic to assume so many weapons can be put and operated under normal conditions on such a small hull...

Can you say AA Cactus Carrier Hosho?
To be honest I never really paid any attention to what all the small stuff had aboard during the AACCH 'incident'...

Pacifica

While working on 'Jane's' I noticed that while the Pacifica stats seem to include the ex-Leyte (as a CL instead of CE, tho), they don't include the two 'third class destroyers' the Philippines transferred (formerly Siemperviva and Mentha)?

May have forgotten them. Have to check things out when I am back home.
