A Navalism idea

A "olekit" did this for Navalism and it looks like a rather good idea for Wesworld. To have a "Jane's Fighting Ships" of sorts for all our nations might assist us in figuring out some things.

Now if only I had time.

You know, I made a list of the 'latest' ship > 20,000 ton of each nation yesterday. Quite interesting since a few are quite old (1909 or so), while others are fairly new (1926).

I can make such a thing for Wesworld, too...

That would be cool, I think few here are capable of doing it themselves, espeacially me, no time!

If I had time....I'm busy as all get out with a Star Blazers game I'm running, plus this, plus Rohan....plus life.

Yeah, I'm still working on my super weapon. I can't conquer the world with a beta version.

Cheers,

Super Weapon? Oh we got one of those already...unfortuately I lost contact with my friend, so there is no telling where he is deploying it....or what he is aiming it at.

Your friend has the super weapon?

Doh! -smacks forehead-

What's with the 'we' bit then ; )

If you want to do a Jane´s - feel free to do so...

RAM, your services are requested for Navalism...Spain has some...issues to ponder.

As for a Wesworld Jane's....If given enough time, and I feel up to it....I'll come up with something. It might be rather basic, like the 1898 Jane's Fighting Ships, but at least it will be something.

....and there still is our WesWorld Encyclopedia....

Quick reference

True, but cross-referencing can be difficult, especially with the ships that aren't yet in there, like the Iberian ships and Nordmark ships. It might also be interesting to add in some of the more important, or segnificant NPC ships to the short list version.

Ba-da Bing!

Capital Ships of the WesWorld (by date).

Iberian data is still missing - will add what I can find (especially The Ciddo) later tonite. Attention Commodore Green! :-) Aside from that, what did Denmark name the ex-Tegetthoff??

Iberian data is in their "Infrastructure" section.

As for the "Ex-Teggethoff", I never thought of one for it.
Let's go with "K.D.M. Kattegat"

Nice and easy to use.

Well that was faster then expected. I'm guessing Cruisers would be the next on the list? I'm assuming you are using the Treaty to define a capital ship, as both of Chile's large construction projects have made to list even thought locally they are rated as an Armored Cruiser and Coastal Battleship respectively.

Do you have a version in English units?

K.D.M. Kattegat

Consider it done.

Actually, Coast Defense Ships are next on the menu. Then 'Type A' cruisers...

...but someone else will have to do the destroyers!

Yup. Exactly what it says on the tin:
"Capital Ships as defined by the Cleito Naval Arms Limitation Treaty". ;-)

(BTW I've removed some of the Argentine ships, and the Chosen/Formosa ex-Japanese ex-Russian battleships, as they actually fit under CDS rules.)

Off to add Iberia now...

Well the dimensions are already in feet...although rounded off in most cases ;-)

(ATTENTION - I have rounded off displacements to the next lower 250t. If any of the listed tonnages are still higher that what y'all "publiclly declared", let me know.)

Stick a fork in it...

The Iberian ships have been added. It's Done!

'Capital Ships' of the WesWorld.

Planned order for further editions:
Aircraft Carriers
Coast Defense Ships
Heavy Cruisers
Light Cruisers

Like I said, if someone else wants to do destroyers, be my guest.
