Looks like the South Africans have finally decided to build a fast ship for once. I wonder what her armour is like? I'd go for 80mm belt and 30mm deck I think, or simply disregarding this and going for protection against destroyer weapons only.

While not entirely wrong (she´s fast - whatever that means for a ship of the RSAN) you´re too optimitic regarding armor given her relatively small size. Protection against DD size guns is more likely...

Why do you think so? I mentioned her main guns only but of course there are secondaries too. 88mm caliber, to be more precise - and I guess at least the Turks know which gun.

Hmm, my Condottieri I are armoured to a similar scale for their 34knts. Trying to get closer to 35knts and I had to retreat to 20mm plates.

Well, more than 20mm my cruisers have, two times as much and more, just no 80mm plates... Even her secondaries have 25mm (front, 10mm sides) shields.

I figured they shiped 88mm, I just didn't see them in your stats or the speed for that matter. I guess I'll have to back engineer the design! :-)

In fact, the cruisers stats are still not made not puplic - and will not for some time. Only our Indian ally already got a complete set of blueprints via SPEARFISH to check and compare her capabilities compared to foreign designs.
