Well, the first sentence would appear to say, "In April, Greece played host to the Royal Navy's Mediterranean Fleet Battlecruiser Squadron", and I'll wait for the English version rather than hurt my brain tackling the rest of the article.

Well, I took my time and used my knowledge of the Greek alphabet as well as looking carefully at the words to translate the whole stuff, so I know exactly what is going on in that part of the world.

It's interesting that when breaking into Japanese codes, the ones who had more success than the Mathematicians (who needed to have things work perfectly) were the University Ancient Greek Professors who could handle garbles and such.

Translation believed as follows:

"In April, Greece played host to the Royal Navy’s Mediterranean Fleet Battlecruiser Squadron. The Royal Navy’s newest units; Invincible, Inflexible, Hermes, Howard (?) and Enterprise, together with destroyers arrived at Argostoli (?), in Greece as part of their shakedown cruise. The battlecruisers and escort soon headed north to Corfu. The carrier Hermes anchored in the bay while the destroyers secured to buoys off the naval base for a ten day visit. Captain Drew (?) Peacock of the carrier Hermes and the destroyer captains paid calls ashore which were returned by the local dignitaries. The sailors landed to play football and sample the local ouzo.

"There was sailing, fishing, car trips to see the local sights and a parade to pay respect to the local saint. On the last day a hundred Greek naval officers and petty officers came to sea for a “Shop Window” (?) flying display. The Fairey Flycatcher did aerobatics and stunts and the torpedo bombers made dry runs. The Greeks eventually disembarked, loudly proclaiming the qualities of Hermes and the potency of her gin (?).

The bits you put the (?) behind are what I had as well.
One quick thing I noticed was that you typed "active as waiter" while it should read "acting as waiter." Also in the article it read "Fairy" while it should read (as you typed) "Fairey" (I actually used "Fairy" instead of "Fairey" to get "Feari").
I got the impression that it took me longer to "translate" the text from "Greek" to English than from English to Japanese (or something like that).
