3rd January 1925

The ministry of defence has announced a major reorganization of all the branches of the armed forces, specially the Royal Air Force and the Royal Army. The goal is to have a more modern and compact force that suits the defence requirements of the Empire.

First Flight of a new aircraft for the RAF

The new light bomber that´s being developed by the Fairey Aviation Company, the Fairey Fox, made his first flight this morning in Hayes. Regarded as faster than most fighters today in service, the RAF is studying to purchase a good number to serve in bomber squadrons. It´s also being rumoured that a seaborne version might be developing.

16th January 1925

The Admiralty has announced the foundation of the Fleet Air Arm as independent service from the RAF. After the events that took place last year in the Andaman sea the importance of airpower in naval operations was reevaluated. The objective of the FAA is to have about 40 squadrons fully operational by 1935.

Also it has been announced a new naval program is going to be developed to modernize the cruiser force of the Royal Navy. The first units of that program will be the 3 Diana class cruisers laid down this month.

18th January 1925

The battlecruisers Princess Royal and Tiger, the aircraft carrier Corageous, the cruisers Pellew, Drake and Cochrane and 8 destroyers, have left today Portsmouth beginning a 6 month training cruise that will take them around the world. The force headed for Gibraltar, that´s their first scheduled stop and will enter the Mediterranean sea later.

This will surely be the last of such cruises for the two battlewagons, as HMS Tiger will be converted in artillery schoolship in december this year, and the Princess Royal will be decomissioned as soon as the new HMS Inflexible enters service.

19th January 1925

Five of the new Powys class destroyer leaders have been laid down this week. They´re a significative improvement over the last DDs built for the navy, another 3 units will be laid down in the next months.

20th January 1925

Civilian unrest in the Far East.

There have been a number of small incidents involving native workers in the Sabah territory. The british authorities of the area state that the situation is under control.

22nd January

The Training Squadron has anchored at Gibraltar base, were they´ll be during the next week. After this they´ll set sail to Malta.

2nd February 1925

News from Sabah

Terrorist attacks in several settlements have claimed the life of 10 british citizens and a unknown number of native and chinese workers. The troops stationed in the area have been unable to find the attackers, however it´s feared that these events are relationed with the activities of the terrorist group known as SALSA.

The british governor of Sabah, Mr. Alastair Roberts was involved in one of the attacks when his car was hit by somekind of hand bomb and narrowly scaped. His driver however was not so lucky.

12th February 1925

The battlecruiser HMS Inflexible has been finished and is going to run her trials during the next week. Rated as posibly the most powerful capital units of the world, the new Invincible class will be part of the new fast battle squadron with Hood, Repulse and Renown as soon as they´re fully operative.

16th February 1925

A new class of coastal submarines has been laid down today in the Portsmouth and Armstrong shipyards. The new O class are mid-range small vessels, adequate for coastal defence and attack of the enemy shipping.

21st February 1925

The Royal Air Force unveiled the new organization that will be adopted in the following years. The creation of a Fighter and a Bomber command are the most relevant notices. The minimum projected strength for the RAF is estimated at 50-60 squadrons. The goal for the RAF is to have in service in the next years about 1000 modern aircrafts.

2nd March 1925

His Majesty´s goverment and the Persian goverment have began a series of talks with the objective of modernizing the Persian army and improving relations between both powers. Wheter if this is related to recent Russian actions in the area is still unclear.

3rd March 1925

The situation in Sabah is scalating into guerrilla warfare. Mr. Roberts has oficially asked for reinforcements as he feels the forces in the area are either insuficient or unreliable (native troops).

7th March 1925

The Training Squadron already in the Indian Ocean and enroute to Australia has recieved orders to change it´s course to Singapore and stay there until new orders arrive.

9th March 1925

The Australian goverment has decided to send 2 infantry battaillons to Sabah to support the troops already deployed there. The ships will be escorted by the HMAS Melbourne and 2 DDs.

12th March 1925

Governor Roberts Murdered

A terrorist commando is considered responsible of the death of the british governor. Mr. Roberts was found this morning in his bed, wildly murdered. The killers got into the governor´s room unnoticed, and it´s thought that they had someboy infiltrated in the building. SALSA has claimed the responsability for this act.

13th March 1925

The british ambassador to the Philippines has joined the meeting hold in Manila about the current situation in Sabah. The Training squadron has been sent to Sabah as support for the Australian troops. A Navy battaillon will be part of the ground operations.

The British and Persian goverments have signed a mutual support treaty. Military advisors and equipment will be sent to help organizing a modern army. The first stage is to create at least a Tank regiment and 4-5 infantry divisions modeled after the ones in the Royal Army.

The Persian goverment has agreed to concede trade advantages to british companies in the area. Also a mutual defence treaty is being considered.

Gravina, there are no visible faults to this article except;

There is no such thing as "Royal Army" it is simply British Army. Its a historical thing. Note however that sub-units e.g. Royal Artillery are approved by the Crown.
