Oil and Sabah....

Isn´t Rumania a little bit far away to get oil from there?

Tankers tend to have a long range. ;)

The logic is thus: there are four, maybe five, oil-producing areas: the DEI, Russia, Rumania, and the Middle East (I'm not sure if Venezuela has had its fields developed yet). The Philippines gets most of its oil from the first, but would like a second source. The last is questionable for obvious reasons. There were already deals, signed in '24, for Russian and (a small amount of) Rumanian oil; with the recent concerns about Russia, we want to have another option, which leaves...

And also Assam, in India's northeast. The fields around Digboi began producing in 1902, and are still going. How significant it is to global or even national production I'm still not sure of, but at least I have a source...

Swampy, be sure to let Walter and I know of any SATSUMA issues that may arise, please...

Understandable, but given the fact that Romainia dosn't produce vast amounts of oil there's only so much....this story would have to be an elaboration on the '24' deal.
