Miscellaneous weights: 100 tons, 3.2 %

Overall survivability and seakeeping ability:
Survivability (Non-critical penetrating hits needed to sink ship):
3,145 lbs / 1,426 Kg = 46.9 x 5.1 " / 130 mm shells or 1.4 torpedoes
Stability (Unstable if below 1.00): 1.22
Metacentric height 2.6 ft / 0.8 m
Roll period: 13.1 seconds

- Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.35
Seaboat quality (Average = 1.00): 1.25

Hull form characteristics:
Hull has a flush deck
and transom stern
Block coefficient: 0.452
Length to Beam Ratio: 8.00 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 23.40 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 51 %
Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 80
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 25.00 degrees
Stern overhang: 2.00 ft / 0.61 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):
- Stem: 18.00 ft / 5.49 m
- Forecastle (29 %): 12.00 ft / 3.66 m
- Mid (57 %): 12.00 ft / 3.66 m
- Quarterdeck (19 %): 12.00 ft / 3.66 m

Ship space, strength and comments:
Space - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 69.3 %
- Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 146.6 %
Waterplane Area: 13,274 Square feet or 1,233 Square metres
Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 140 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 38 lbs/sq ft or 187 Kg/sq metre
Hull strength (Relative):
- Cross-sectional: 0.50
- Longitudinal: 0.67
- Overall: 0.52
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is excellent
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform
Good seaboat, rides out heavy weather easily

- Semi-automatic loading system for 13cm and 7.5cm guns.
- 13.2mm mounts: 3 fixed octuple mounts. 1 on forward section of superstructure, superfiring forward main guns, 1 on aft section of superstructure, superfiring aft main guns and 1 on the stern. 6x2 mounts aft (3 on each side), 6x2 forward (3 each side). Twins on simple pedestal mounts and equipped with simple shields. Octuples are weatherproof. Due to limited space, the guns on the twins are usually stored below deck together with the empty shielded mounts and the pedestals. There are a total of 12 fittings on each side where the pedestals can be fastened. The twin mounts are only used on 'special' occasions (= shooting at unarmed and unarmored vessels).
- Official speed given as 23.75 knots.
- 50 tons for mining gear or DC/DCT.
- 50 tons for improved firecontrol, train and elevation motors, loading system.
- Originally designed in the hope to crush the "hull strenght 0.50 with speed >24 knots" rule which I beleive is the main culprit that allows such ships to be made.
- Obviously plan failed miserably. ^_^;;
