In 1941 Atlantis purchased the Volcan Osorno from Chile. It is planned that she will recieve a refit to bring her secondary and AA armament up to Atlantean standards. She was to originally retain her Chilean name but in the event the Chileans used the name for a new destroyer and out of respect for the Chileans she was renamed Ajax. She most likely serve along side the Hector class heavy cruisers.

Menelaus class as built

Sarpedon and Astyanax are slightly different in appearance due to their later lay down date, having newer aft main and secondary dirrectors.

Menelaus class as planned

The Menelaus class was orriginally designed with eight single 4" secondary guns and increased lifeboat capacity. Their subsequent redesign traded the eight single 4" turrets for four twins and added scouting aircraft and catipults at the expence of some lifeboats.
