Name: Kiran Industries KI-3 (Rudra)
Type: Carrier based fighter
Crew: 1
Max Speed: 231 mph at 7500 feet
200 mph at sea level
Engine: 1 x KI 1820 at 950 hp radial
Range: 880 miles
Wingspan: 32' 0"
Length: 25" 7"
Armament: 1 x 7.92mm machine guns(Nose), 1 x 15mm machinegun(Nose); 5 30lbs bombs or 2 100lbs bombs.

Notes: Last biplane fighter in the BNS. Still it was a very revolutionary aircraft, being the first with a retractable undercarriage plus it included watertight compartments to reduce weight and improve survivability in the event of a water landing. The engine improved range and performance but the large diameter of the engine gave the aircraft their recognizable barrel shape. Entered service in late 1935.

Name: Kiran Industries KI-4 (Gendaa)
Type: Carrier based fighter
Crew: 1
Max Speed: 331 mph at 14000 feet
310 mph at sea level
Engine: 1 x KI 1920 at 1150 hp radial
Range: 1900 miles
Wingspan: 39' 4"
Length: 29" 9"
Armament: 2 x 7.92mm machine guns(Nose), 2 x 25mm cannons(wings); 2 x 100lbs bombs.

Notes: Even with the arrival of the KI-3 in 1935 the BNS started to look for a replacement almost as soon as it entered service The BNS desired a fighter with double the range or more of the current fighter, armed with cannons. a complete radio set and radio directional finder included; all that in an aircraft that have to have a wingspan of less than 40' , making it possible to fit in the carriers.

Kiran recognized the task was difficult and their final product is a large compromise. A combination of excellent maneuverability and very long range was achieved by sacrificing protection for both the aircraft and the pilot. Lacking armor and self-sealing gas tanks, it was expected the maneuverability and training of the pilot will be the main assets to ensure the aircraft survival. Built almost completely with aluminum, with its low-wing cantilever monoplane layout, retractable wide-set landing gear and enclosed cockpit, the design was the most modern ever to be in service in the BNS at the time. Entered service late in 1939.

Name: Alleppey Aeronautics Kilkilaa (Kingfisher)
Type: floatplane fighter
Crew: 1
Max Speed: 298 mph at 13,000 feet
220 mph at sea level
Engine: 1 x AA 400 at 1150 hp radial
Range: 1025 miles
Wingspan: 39' 4"
Length: 34' 9"
Armament: 2 x 7.92mm machine guns(Nose), 2 x 25mm cannons(Wings); 2 x 100lbs bombs.

Notes: The Kilkilaa replaced the Sikara as the main floatplane of the BNS in early 1940. Featuring a central float and twin wing-mounted stabilizing floats, the new prototype retained the same gun armament as the KI-4's already in service with the carrier fleet to help supply concerns. A unique feature was the aircraft's automatic combat flaps that adjusted automatically based on acceleration, freeing up the pilot from having to do this and reducing the chance of stalling in combat. An overall success as a floatplane, the BNS decided to use this aircraft as the fundation to built a new land based fighter in 1941.
