Refitting Ciudad Rodrigo

(Having read the refit rules, I believe that deck-mounted guns, sans barbette, are fair game for replacing in refits...)

Having studied the recent Indian/Danish conflict, and having taken special note of the fact that the Danish DD that was crippled was the only ship lacking anti-aircraft armament in the Danish formation, the Marina de Filipinas has decided to move up refitting the ex-Italian light cruiser Cíudad Rodrigo.

Modifications are:
-increased thickness of main gun shelds
-installation of shields on 57mm casemate battery
-removal of bow 57mm guns
-replacement of two midships 6" mountings with twin 100mm AA.

Materials permitting, the refit will start in late Q3/25.

(compare to the original stats on the Infrastructure Board.)

PRS Cíudad Rodrigo, ex-Italian light cruiser, laid down 1913, refit 1925

Length, 427 ft x Beam, 42.7 ft x Depth, 19.0 ft

Oil firing.

Relative extent of belt armor, 132 percent of 'typical' coverage.

Magazines and engineering spaces are cramped, with poor
watertight subdivision.

Main deck QF guns subject to being washed down in a seaway.
