There are a few changes planned for 1949.

All 48 T-6M41 'Nahuel’ (Tiger) heavy tanks are to be re-engined with a 520hp HFDASA D-152 12-cyl diesel which will replace the original 500hp FMA-Lorraine Dietrich 12EB 12-cyl petrol engine. The speed will remain the same but the range will increase from 155 to 175 miles. The main aim is to improve reliability and reduce the fire hazard in combat.

The last six TG-1M35 Self Propelled Armoured Guns in use with the Tank School will be retired in 1949. Due to their illustrious war service in 1935 it is possible they will all be preserved in museums or as gate guards.
