Result of the eleventh Lap (Beijing):

At the start of the final stage, Mitsubishi's team is trying to reduce their gap to the two leading teams from the UK and China. The Japanese take a big risk and are on the limit several times. So unfortunately the disaster happen and team Mitsubishi collides with a civilian vehicle and has to put in an additional repair stop. Unluckily, the Japanese team can not catch up the lost time until the finish line and finish the Silk Way Rallye on a good third place in front of the fourth-placed Team Great Wall from China. Team Triumph and Team Golden Dragon show a great fight, which is ultimately won by the English Team.

An excellent second place got the Chinese Team Yellow Crane just before Team Frazer, also from the UK.

On the last lap it's all haywire. First of all, the tires of Team Rover are bursting and they must take an additional stop - therefore the two teams HAFDASA and Minerva can catch up again. At the same time, the two leading teams from Yugoslavia and China are able to create a greater gap. Towards the middle of the lap, the Argentinian team collides with a wild animal and almost has to end the rallye. Only in the last second the repair can be completed and the race be continued. However, they are knocked out in the last place, which they kept to the finish. The team Minerva was in a fair fight with Team Rover for the third place and was defeated by Charles Tucker and Ted Griffiths on the last kilometers and will be fourth behind the English. A real head-to-head race happened on the last hundred kilometers between the Flying Pandurs and the Team Yellow Crane.
