Initial design work was begun by Junkers in 1946, with the formal development contract being issued in the wake of the cancellation of the Heinkel P1068. A prototype is expected to fly in mid-1948.

I've always been a big fan of the looks of the Junkers EF132.
I'm guessing this development task is as big as the British V-bombers, I would doubt that the Ju322 would become operational before the early 50s.
