Other Notes
Technology development and investigatory committees are working on the following projects:
- Proyecto-O: Replacement for Marina Guardia Hyatt. Final procurement decisions are made and long-lead items are ordered by ASMAR.

The aircraft carrier Mapuche has been formally decommissioned and handed over to ASMAR for scrapping, as no suitable buyer was found for the ship. Rumors about the possible retirement of the Chiloe have also increased.

The helicopter-carrying cruiser Guardia Marina Hyatt is decommissioned in June 1947, with the crew transferred to the new cruiser Araucanía.

The Armada confirms rumors that the cruiser Concepción will be retired in September of this year. Crew transfers to the new cruiser Los Lagos have already begun. The Armada also confirms that the cruiser Chillán will be retired in December of this year, with the crew to form the plankowner crew of the new Valparaíso.

The Armada announced that the destroyer leaders Almirante Lynch and Almirante Condell will be retired in December 1947, with their places in Destroyer Flotilla 1 to be taken by the first two Almirante Simpson class destroyers. The names Almirante Lynch and Almirante Condell shall be assumed by the second pair of Simpson-class ships. Upon the completion of further Simpson-class destroyers (announced to number eight in total, ordered over 1947 and 1948), they will replace Capitan Thomson-class destroyers, which shall be retired to the reserve or scrapped.

The destroyers of the Temerario-class, organized as the 4th and 7th Destroyer Flotillas, are in reserve with caretaker crews. The first two ships, Temerario and Aleatorio, have been handed over for scrapping at ASMAR. The next two ships, Magnífico and Unánime, have started initial preparations for scrapping. Rumors indicate the ships of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla will be scrapped, while the ships of the 7th Destroyer Flotilla will be retained for a period of time.

Overview: The Flota de Alta Mar represents the main striking power of the Chilean Navy. Overview: The Flota de Litoral is responsible for the patrol of Chilean coastal waters for the purposes of maritime security and policing. OOC Addendum: I was fact-checking the report and noticed that at some point I'd apparently dropped the two old Capitan O'Brien-class submarines from my quarterly report's order of battle, but I can't find evidence that I scrapped them or otherwise disposed of them.
