Lima class Aircraft Carrier

(Historical data)

Peru entered into negotiations with Italy in 1941 for this former training carrier. Italy undertook an extensive refit in order to prepare the vessel for combat service, and handed the ship over in July 1942.

The final airgroup is expected to be approximately 36 Caproni Ariete fighter-bombers, 18 x BA.67 torpedo-recce aircraft, and 4 Cierva R1 autogyros, but it is likely that perhaps half this number will be shipped for the first year or so of service.
