The chinese auxilliary ships of the navy are splitted in the following types:

Fleet Supply Ship (FS-XX):
Fleet Supply Ship:
Navy Supply Vessels with charging device for all needed goods (fuel, ammunition, etc. ) for the supply of surface forces in long-range and long-term ventures.

Fleet Oiler (FO-XX):
Fleet Tanker:
Requisitioned tankers for supply of naval forces at long range and short-term ventures, with operating supplies, ammunition and supplies. Repatriation of prisoners

Kwong Wah - Class:
HICMS Kwong Wah ( FO-01 ) - Active

Base Tanker:
Requisitioned tankers for the supply of machinery parts from the stores on the bases, and occasionally used for the supply of naval forces at sea.

Hayasui - Class:
HICMS Hayasui ( FO-02 ) - Active

Yuci - Class:
HICMS Yuci ( FO-03 ) - Active

Auxiliary Ship (AS-XX):

Supply ship:
Requisitioned cargo ship to supply surface forces at sea with consumables, munitions, spare parts and supplies, under certain circumstances, supply of personnel, repatriation of prisoners. At the same time appropriate for reconnaissance (so sometimes equipped with aircrafts).

Wu Yi - Class:
HICMS Wu Yi ( AS-08 ) - Active

Fleet Tender (FT-XX)
Fleet Tender:
Tender are specialized support vessels for smaller ships and boats. They serve as a floating base for the units they support. Therefore they stay either in a port near the operating area or use a mooring as advanced supply point. Tender has additional to the supply goods also repairing and maintenance personnel onboard.

Luda - Class:
HICMS Luda ( FT-01 ) - Active

Jiamusi - Class:
HICMS Jiamusi ( FT-02 ) - Active

Danjiang - Class:
HICMS Danjiang ( FT-05 ) - Active
HICMS Qingdao ( FT-07 ) - Active

Armed Merchantman (AM-XX):
Armed Merchantman:
Armed Merchantman are converted, armed merchant ships. These ships are used in the event of a war in order to patrol the waters in the South China Sea. While many vessels are required for this task, they are not true war ships, since merchant ships are not a great threat and the patrol area is relatively far from the bases of other nations. This task would otherwise bind cruisers of the chinese navy and thus strongly weaken the chinese cruiser force. A further task is the escort protection of convoys, in order to give them a minimum of security because for the numerous convoys not enough war ships are available and therefore the war ships can only be used for the most important convoys, e.g. troop transports.

Anhui - Class:
MS Anhui ( AM-01 ) - Active
MS Hefei ( AM-02 ) - Active
MS Suzhou ( AM-03 ) - Active
MS Bozhou ( AM-04 ) - Active
