Operation "Sealion"

Hi Comrades,

yesterday i got the book "Landung in England (Das geplante Unternehmen 'Seelöwe')" from Peter Schenk. In my eyes one of the best and most authoritative works concerning the planned invasion in England. Details as used units, land targets and availability of vessels, Compilation of the invastion fleets and forces and so on.

Another good read on the subject and the events of that time is Leo McKinstry's 'Operation Sealion'.

Gives a good account of all sides and aspects of the story and offers something different from the usual tale of Britain being armed with nothing but a few old pensioners with carving knives stuck on poles. McKinstry actually looks as what strength Britain had and its preparations and defence plans and Germany's preparations and planning. One of the best books I've read on the subject.
