SC-1, Latvia Submarine Chaser laid down 1932
This class was designed to serve as a submarine chaser or light coastal minesweeper. Twenty-four vessels were built, with twelve equipped as subchasers and twelve equipped as minesweepers. The boats were all numbered in a single series, however, with the SC- designation used for subchasers (SC-1 through SC-12) and the SM- designation used for minesweepers (SM-13 through SM-24.
