The Dutch Naval Air Force Against Japan

If you are interested in the subject and are willing to shell out the coin for it, The Dutch Naval Air Force Against Japan by Tom Womack (McFarland & Company, 2006) is a rather in-depth study of the Netherlands Indies Marine Luchtvaart Dienst, covering equipment (aircraft and vessels), operational bases, doctrine, and pre-war activities. It also covers in moderate depth the activity of the MLD following the outbreak of war in the Pacific. It is heavily illustrated, and contains data summaries of the principal aircraft operated by the MLD.

While I was familiar enough with the broad aspects of the MLD before acquiring my copy, I found it worth reading for the details. The author has done quite a lot of research in the relevant archives and seems to rely on primary sources far more than other I have read.
