I am most intrigued with the refit of the Alacrity class destroyers and their leader.

I do not recall seeing a Springsharp for the refitted vessels, indicating their light displacement as refitted, on which costs would be based.

I am also interested in which drydocks were used for the refit of these vessels – the sim report indicates that the D1 docks at Sydney, Auckland, Port Moresby and Darwin were all in use during the period. Are there others not identified? Given the fact that a 15% refit for an Alacity’s base light displacement would cover forty-eight days, plus a fourteen-day turn-around, to do all six vessels in a single quarter would imply six docks available for the work. If fewer than six, some of the vessels in question would not be complete at the end of the quarter (though they may be paid for).

I haven't gotten around to doing the SS2. It is basically a 25% (15% cost) refit, primarily life-extension, with some weapon changes to accommodate new ASW stuff. All of the refit with the exception of sonar changes can be done portside. Only sonar needs to be done in dock, so I figured the ships could cycle thru the lone Type 2 Dock. However, all the frigates taking the other docks should be launched midway thru the quarter freeing those docks too.

I believe that the dock time for the sonar refits - 15% of the construction time (48 days) is going to be your limiting factor. I am not certain that you can fit more than an single Alacrity in a Type 2 dock; even so, if possible, the turn-around time would force the ships using it to extend beyond the end of the quarter. I think a little more detail in the sim report would help here.

Bruce is correct on this count. The turnaround time for refitting these ships is 1.582 months. You'd need to refit one ship, provide the one week of 'breather' specified in the rules, and then get most of the work on a second ship done, which would carry into the next quarter. So, conservatively, you can refit three ships every two quarters (assuming you stick with only the one drydock).
