Hmm... a few things that I have noticed...
1) From what I can remember while looking for the Intrepid, she was laid down in Q2/1942. That would mean that she would be under construction until the middle of Q4/1943. In the Q1/1943 report, you indicated that she is 'completed' and in the Q2 report, you moved from "Aircraft Carriers: 4(0)+1" to "Aircraft Carriers: 5(0)+0"
2) You said that the "Intrepid is just a repeat of the Enterprise carrier hybrid", but you only put 10,000 tons (4x 2,500 tons) of materials in her while she would need 10,164 tons.
3) I see the same thing happening with the K class submarines. (requires a bit over 10 months and 1,074 tons to build but you build them in 3 months and only put 1,000 tons into them).
4) Probably the same thing happening with other vessels.
5) I don't see an SS sim for the J-class submarine just some stats, but based on those stats, I think you would get more than 150 tons per hull.
6) The Polar class, the FFA class and the J-class take a bit more than 3 months to scrap, so it would cover 2 quarters to scrap them and not 1, meaning the tonnages would be available in Q1/44, Q2/44 and Q3/44 respectively and not Q3/43, Q1/44 amd Q2/44.

Doing a quick sim using the data given and a linedrawing of the historical J class, I get a light displacement of 1451 tons, which would give you 217.65 tons.

1 & 3) Completed refers to payment, Ill add a note stating when the ships actually finish constructon.

2 & 3) I need to do an updated SS2 for the ships, get the light weight down to nice clean numbers.

5 & 6) Fixed

1 & 3) Completed refers to payment, Ill add a note stating when the ships actually finish constructon.

That would be extremely helpful. One of the things that's frustrated a number of us dealing with the Italian sim reports issue is the general lack of important information such as lay-down and completion dates, which can trip people up when they're filling in after departed players.

How many aircraft is the Intrepid intended to operate?

12

Sunday, November 16th 2014, 7:53pm

I'd assume forty, though it'd be a stretch on that displacement with that main battery.

13

Sunday, November 16th 2014, 7:53pm

36 same as her sister ship.

14

Sunday, November 16th 2014, 8:13pm

Thank you.

So... looking at the reports, you put 10,000 tons into the carrier while only 9,998 tons are needed and you put 1,000 tons into the subs while 1,006 tons are needed...

I was a bit suspicious about the stability of the submarine until I saw the extremely low depth:beam ratio. I guess I will call the K-class submarines, the Submarine Sandwich. :D
