Variant C looks to be an extremely good design - very powerful AA outfit, good seakeeping and enough miscellaneous weight to specify a good radar and electronics package. My only question - are you deliberately eschewing torpedoes?

I am at best skeptical of the value torpedoes offer to ships large enough to hope to survive any hit - having such spectacular explosive potential out on the deck seems to defeat the purpose of building a protected ship. OTOH, Nordmark's practice in the past has been to use torpedoes on cruisers, so in this case, yeah, it's a mistake.

Torpedoes should be laid out in four sets of three, six to a side, with superstructure decking them over and aircraft facilities on top of that.

The design looks good, and ought to be a powerful antiaircraft escort. However, having just constructed a run of light cruisers, are more cruisers that necessary to the detriment of a balanced fleet?

If they were being contemplated as an increase in numbers, they would certainly be excess - but there are still seven more CLs aging out of viability, which these would be laid down to replace.

Block obsolescence is a thing, but I'm already behind that 8-ball, so it's either draw down my strength or try and find a way out when things are less... pressured.
