Distrigas
Founded in 1829 by the British-owned Imperial Continental Gas Association, which has created many gas suppliers across Europe since 1824. The company today is the main gas supplier in Belgium. The Société Générale de Belgique is a majority shareholder.

Petrofina N.V.
Founded on February 25 1920, by brothers Hector and Fernand Carlier and Aloys Van de Vyvere as Compagnie Financière Belge des Pétroles. The company later changed its name to PetroFina to reflect its telegraph address name. The company is based in Antwerp and is the biggest oil supplier in Belgium. It also operates a chain of sixty-eight petrol filling stations across Belgium.
