I would presume that you really mean to fit a dual purpose secondary battery and antiaircraft guns in the tertiary battery, and not straight breechloaders... but I hate to make assumptions. ^^

I kinda get the sense this would be more impressive with a bit more belt armor and another knot of speed. But I also sense that this would require S3.5 or D3.5 infrastructure Australia probably doesn't have.

I don't like more armor, but another knot is pretty doable, and fixing the secondaries:

I assume these ships are to supplement the RN Eastern Fleet, I am surprised they aren't using the new British 15in shells.

6

Saturday, June 7th 2014, 10:58am

Not a bad ship for 28,000 tons, has decent speed and range, pretty powerful secondary armament and the deck armour is ok, a thin belt of 12in might not pose too many problems given the greater air-threat these days.
What will be aft given the all-forward main battery layout?

Good point Jason, actually looking back the original SS report Gravina made for the Invincible and Inflexible the guns are 1921 model simmed for 1,687lb shells which was probably a oversight he made, since this is the default setting. I'm supposing they would have been normal 1,938lb shells.

Quoted

6 - 15,00" / 381 mm guns (2x3 guns), 1.687,50lbs / 765,44kg shells, 1921 Model
Breech loading guns in turrets (on barbettes)

Also, although your using the turrets, I notice the armour is different. Are you just using the mechanism and replacing the armoured turret?

Quoted

Main: 14,0" / 356 mm 8,00" / 203 mm 7,00" / 178 mm

Oversight on my part, now fixed with correct turrets and shells.

Aft will have expanded seaplane and gyro/helo facilities.
