Mortars of the Ejercito Argentina



Mortier Brandt de 81mm mle 27/31 (81mm M33/MBr): The first modern mortar and the first to drastically improve on the Stokes drew the attention of Argentine military advisers during 1932 and some four evaluation examples were brought and these formed the basis of a wholly Argentine designed copy which entered service during 1934/35, the 81mm M34/M.

81mm M34/M: A copy of the French Mortier Brandt de 81mm mle 27/31. Weight in action is 60kg; elevation is +45 to +80 degrees elevation with 8 degrees of traverse. Bomb weight is 4kg and range is 1,700m.
