75mm M31/AM1 L/50

A version of the M31 L/50 with a new carriage with mounted German fire-control gear. The new carriage offers -5 to +80 degrees elevation with 360 degree traverse. New modified HE shells weighing 6.25kg can be fired to 7,250m (23,785 ft).

In 1930 Argentina brought twenty-four of these guns and these are still in service around Cordoba and Bahia Blanca

Light Anti-Aircraft Guns

20mm Oerlikon 20mm M29/O (both French and Argentine manufacture): The worldwide and ubiquitous light AA gun as sold all over the world. Naval variant designated 20mm Type 29/Or.

37mm Breda (37mm M29/BR): Standard Italian 37mm light anti-aircraft gun purchased from Italy in 1929 and ordered in small batches throughout the 1930s. Around 200 were copied during the war in Argentine arsenals.


37mm M45: A new design based on that of the M29/BR but with new sights and improved lighter mount for easier transportation. Orders for 350 were placed in 1944 and deliveries were made between 1945-47.

8.8cm FlaK 43(88mm M47/RB)

In 1947 Argentina brought 72 of these guns, followed by a repeat order in 1948.
This weapon was developed as a second-generation medium calibre anti-aircraft gun by Rheinmetall-Borsig. It features a low silhouette on its turntable mounting. The barrel is in two-sections with an overall length of 72 calibres. The FlaK 43 is directed by the Funk-Messgerät FuMG 62 under centralised battery control or it may be controlled locally.
