The Coldmere Protocol
Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the German Reich, the Kingdom of Nordmark and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland



Article One: The High Contracting Parties each agree that the Nordmarkian-German Mutual Defense and Trade Pact, dated 14 December 1934 and modified 1 January 1936, the British - German Treaty of Friendship and Non-Aggression dated 3 October 1929, and the Nordmark-Germany Non-Aggression Pact, dated 10 December 1934 are hereby superseded by the protocols and agreements entered into through this new treaty.

Article Two: The High Contracting Parties each agree to work together in close and friendly collaboration for the security and economic prosperity of the signatory nations.

Article Three: The High Contracting Parties each agree to maintain continual contact with one another for the purpose of consultation in order to exchange information on problems affecting their common interests.

Article Four: The High Contracting Parties each agree that should disputes arise between the High Contracting Parties over problems of one kind or another, the High Contracting Parties shall settle these disputes exclusively through friendly exchange of opinion or, if necessary, through the establishment of arbitration commissions.

Article Five: The High Contracting Parties each recognize the right of the other contracting parties to self-defense if attacked by an aggressor.

Article Six: The High Contracting Parties will each refrain from supporting any such aggressor nation, but may maintain a stance of neutrality or active co-belligerency as it sees fit.

Article Seven: The High Contracting Parties will each refrain from entering into negotiations with any such aggressor nation except by mutual agreement for purposes of mediation between belligerents.
