In the aftermath of the recent elections the German Government congratulates the people of Chile on their commitment to the democratic process. In an informal telegram, Chancellor Adenauer offers his personal congratulations to President-Elect Castro and expresses his hopes that Germany and Chile can continue their close relations under the incoming administration.
