To: CO, Moncao
From: HQ Armada
Following the review of reports from yourself and the inspection dispatched from HQ Far East, and with the Moncao's age and situation in mind, the Armada is declaring Moncao a constructive total loss.
The Armada has rejected the notion of selling Moncao to Chosen or a private scrapyard, noting the possibility that a negative military outcome may cause the ship to fall into Chinese hands. Therefore, you are instructed to:
-Patch the damage necessary to allow for short-term towing
-Destroy all equipment and items considered sensitive
-Muster the crew for evacuation
A squadron including two destroyers, a transport, a tug, and minesweeping assets will steam to your location on 10 November. Moncao will be taken in tow outside Chosenian waters and scuttled by torpedo. Your crew will return with the squadron via transport.
A covering force will be at sea to prevent interference with the operation.
Msg ends.
