CSP - Chinese Selfpropelled Gun

During the Persian war, the then commander of the Chinese forces raised the demand for motorized and armored artillery, which can follow the armored units to the action and so the necessary artillery support could be given. It has been shown that the existing vehicles of the type Tung Meng SP75 were completely inadequate.

Tung Meng was therefore commissioned to develop a successor model.
The result of years of design work and extensive testing on the Army Test Side near Harbin is the TM 105 SP or alternatively with a 12cm Howitzer the TM 120 SP.

It could very well be - rather like the Sherman 105mm support tanks. Or, alternatively, it could be something like the OTL German Waffentraeger, which it does resemble in some way.

It does seem that China has introduced many new tank designs over the last couple of years. I wonder how many have actually progressed from prototype to 'in-service'?

Yes, it was inspired be the mentioned OTL vehicles and yes it's a 360° traverse turret.

I will give soon an overview, which of the vehicles will still be in prototype-status and which are "in service".
