Argentine Flying Boat Requirement

The Commando de Aviacion Naval has an immediate need for 44 new multi-engine medium-sized flying boats for the maritime patrol role.

All tenders are welcome. There are no strict performance specifications but it must have two engines (radials preferred), excellent alighting performance and good ability in rough seas and have a range of at least 1,000 miles (the minimum acceptable) but more is highly advantageous. Provision for self-defensive armament (will be fitted in Argentina) and self-sealing tanks and armour for the pilot etc. and racks for bombs and depth-charges. It should have good navigation equipment and be available for immediate delivery.

I'm throwing another contender in with my 'other' hat on.

Blackburn will offer an export variant of the B.20 Boston Mk.3.

Length: 69 ft 8 ins
Height: 25 ft 2 ins (pontoon extended), 11 ft 8 ins (pontoon retracted)

Engines: Two 2,500hp Rolls-Royce Vulture IV
Normal loaded weight: 35,000lb
Max speed 325mph at 15,000ft
Range: 1,500 miles
Service ceiling 35,000ft
Crew: 6
Armament: 6,000lbs of bombs or depth charges, Fraser-Nash powered turrets in nose and tail positions (twin-gun nose and four-gun tail) and a Boulton-Paul powered four-gun dorsal turret.
Provision for RDF set

I'd also throw in the Catalina (my initial obvious contender), unless Jason objects or wants to offer anything else.
