IMPORTANT: China Aviation Industry Corporation

China Aviation Industry Corporation is a Sino-South african consortium of aircraft manufacturers. The consortium was created on July 1, 1942. It is focused on fighter planes and fighter bombers. Members of the corporation are on the south african side, Walter Engineering and on chinese side Gangchuan Aviation. There are 100 technicians from south africa, including some persons with high title. These technicians will train the chinese workers.

In October 1942 work on a new factory was started far in the hinterland at Loiwing on the China-Burma frontier. The factory is financed by the chinese government and will be opened in the spring of 1943. It's planed to build an undetermined number of common designed aircrafts.

With the disclosure of this economic cooperation, the stock of Gangchuan Aviation Ltd. rise on the Shanghai Stock exchange by 12%. This is the largest increase in value of a company on this stock exchange in history.

At first, a new fighter will be designed. The development of the X-PO is based on the south african fighter design Walter F-11.
