I didn't want the tiger stripe pattern to cover the entire plane which is why the propellor blades, part of the wings and fuselage and the tail wings are normal colored. I was thinking of applying the tiger print to the tips of the propellor blades as well, but in the end decided not to do it.

The white band with the roundel on it is deliberately there because the tiger stripe pattern piece that I used was not big enough to cover the entire rear section so I needed something there to hide this.

I like the special paintschemes of the planes of the NATO Tiger Association so that is what got me inspired to mess around with the tiger on the tail and then on with the tiger stripe pattern on the rest of the plane.

(looks like I missed a little bit at the bottom of the tiger which I should correct. Edit: fixed)

Lieutenant Colonel Kato greatfully accepts the invitation. When command approves of the tour, he is considering to visit France in the period around the Paris Air Show.
At leat if I am not mistaken, it will be held again in 1944. Correct me if I am wrong, Brock.

Ryoko looked at the list she got from Yamamoto. "Admiral... should we not like... uhm... send a few more ships... as in the whole fleet?"

Yamamoto laughed slightly. "Worry not, admiral. This, in combination with other assets, should be enough for now."

Sector commander Sugawara Michio: "Send a message to Fukue-jima Command and Miyako-jima Command for me. The higher-ups want us to make a number of training runs."

Aide: "Yes sir."

Sugawa: "I want the planes of the 74th and the 67th fueled, loaded with dummies and into the sky for these runs tomorrow. The 74th will head for Aomori and the 67th wil head for Hiroshima."

Aide: "Yes sir."

Sugawa: "Also tell Fukue and Miyako to properly record everything so it can be properly studied by the higher-ups. Dismissed."

Aide: "Yes sir. Right away."

One by one the 16 B-10 bombers of the 67th Air Squadron were taxying onto and taking off from the main runway of Miyakojima Air Base. Their objective was Hiroshima where they would simulate a bombing run on the city center.

At the same time far to the north, the bombers of the 74th Air Squadron were taking off from Fukuejima Air Base for their training mission to Aomori.

"Sir!" Major General Sugawara Michio saluted as the Minister of Army entered his office. "Welcome to Sector West."

General Tojo Hideki returned the salute. "Thank you. And thank you for the information. Most useful."

"The men did their best to obtain the information you wanted, sir."

"Good, good." Tojo nodded. "You're probably curious as to what it was all about, right?"

"A little, sir."

"Something I was expecting." Tojo smiled. He then spead out a map he had with him on the desk of Sugawara. "Well, I think that this might make things more clear..."

AWNR has heard of rumors about plans to send out a massive force of bombers and flatten the city of Shanghai.

When asked, Military Command denied that any such plans exist.

The source of the rumors, the Naval expert known as 'Ken', could not be found to tell more about the rumors.

The Naval expert known as 'Ken' was found dead this morning...

... again...

Apparently, he accidentally walked into the panda bear enclosure at the Edo Zoo yesterday evening and was hugged to death by the cute pandas.

Number of ships to be send to the Senkaku Islands for extended gunnery, torpedo and ASW exercises at Okino Kita Iwa until further notice.

Battleships: 3
Battlecruisers: 3
Carriers: 13
Cruisers: 38
DDs: 94
ASW escorts: 18

IJN submarines have strict orderes to avoid the area until the end of the exercise so all hostile submerged presences within a 50 nautical mile radius around the Senkaku Islands are considered to be viable targets for the ASW exercises.

What's wrong with exercises for the crews of the ships? Sure, quite a few ships, but the men need to maintain their skills. :D

Fukuoka-Pusan Ferry. October 3, 1943

Lieutenant Colonel Ikeda Sueo looked back in the distance where he could still see a bit of Kyushu. In less than 6 hours, the ferry would reach its destination and unload Sueo's unit and the train wagons carrying their armored vehicles.

Major Fujiwara Hitomi joined him. "Sir, I disposed of the spy as requested," she told him.

"Good. If you had cleaned up your mess in the first place, then it would not have been necessary for me to yell at you," Sueo replied. "Did you do it properly?"

"Of course sir. I tossed him overboard. Boating accident."

"Good. We do not want any civilians aboard this vessel freaking out when they see a blood-covered dead body."

"Yes, sir."

"We really should have alerted the police about the man's activities and have them arrest him."

Hitomi shrugged. "He would have been executed for espionage anyway. Now there is no need to waste time and money on a trial."

"I know that that is very... thoughtful of you but it is not really the way to do it."

"... maybe I should have made it look like he accidentally cut off his head while shaving..."

Sueo smacked Hitomi on the head. "Don't be silly girl! Who would believe something suspicious like that?!"

"I've read about it happening a few times... and by the way, I believe I forgot my make-up kit, sir."

Sueo stared at the Major. "You killed a man in broad daylight and instead of worrying about someone finding the body, you're worried about your make-up?!"

"I need to look good and I doubt you want me to use blood as make-up. That might freak out the passengers even more."

"Well, you should have thought of it before we departed. It is too late now to get your kit. Just get the stuff you need when we get in Pusan."

"But..."

Sueo held up his hand "No complaining! You will have to do with what they have there. Now go do something useful. Go check on the others. I will keep an eye on things here."

Hitomi wanted to object, but didn't. "Very well, sir." She turned around and left.

An hour later while checking the train wagons carrying his unit's armored vehicles, Sueo found a dead body hidden underneath the covers of his tank and started yelling at Hitomi again.
