The Escort Refurbishment Program will see most of the BNS’ sloops and destroyers receive Level 3 refits over the next two years. Due to the number of ships so affected, dry-docks are being utilized at maximum capacity. Four docks will cycle destroyers; two will cycle sloops. The schedule for Q2/43 is:

Destroyer Docks: 1 x Miraj class weeks 1-3 (requiring another 3 weeks in Q2), turn-around weeks 4-5, 1 x Allahabad class weeks 6-12, turn-around begins week 13.

Sloop Docks: 1 x Kudligi class, week 1, turn-around weeks 2-3, 1 x Shimla class weeks 4-10, turn-around weeks 11-12.

Refit costs are incurred in the quarter that the refits commence; this is 4*251 = 1,004 t for the four destroyers, and 2*159 = 318 t for the two sloops.

F. Scrap Report:

4 x Penner class AM, 1 x Mahanadi class AO deleted but not scrapped.
