A reconnaissance company incorporated into the Parachute Dragoons Regiment (13th RDP). Rare unit type.

These companies form the building blocks of the Dragons portés and Chasseurs portés battalions. Like the battalions, the Chasseurs portés are equipped with armoured infantry carriers such as the Lorraine VBCP or the Panhard VCI-41, while the Dragons portés are equipped solely with trucks such as the Berliet GBC-4 truck.

Composition:
- 4 chasseurs platoons: 47 men, 3 machine guns, 4 rifle grenade launchers, 3 infantry carriers, 2 cars
- 1 command platoon: 30 men, 1 60mm mortar, 1 mortar carrier (infantry carrier), 3 trucks, 6 cars, 4 motorcycles

Motorcycle Companies are usually attached to the scouting or cavalry forces

Armoured Car Squadrons are arranged in similar fashion to tank squadrons. However, as the armoured car squadrons are more regularly used in scouting and flank security, they have four motorcycle couriers and scouts.

- 3 tank platoons: 20 men (1 officer, 4 NCOs, 15 men), 15 pistols, 4 submachine guns, 4 armoured cars

A 120mm Mortar Company is composed of nine 120mm mortars broken down into three mortar platoons. An additional security squad, similar to the standard Dragons portés squad, is assigned to provide direct protection to the mortar units.

A Parachutist Mortar Company provides much of the 'artillery' firepower available to a Dragoons Parachutist regiment.

- 1 supply platoon: 19 men, 15 bicycles and trailers
