USAAF Observation





Kellet YO-60, a variant of the earlier YG-1 autogiro with a 300hp Jacobs R-915-3 radial for the USAAF which first flew in 1940.

Curtiss O-52


Curtiss O-52, a two-seat high-wing monoplane spotter for the USAAF with retractable undercarriage first flown in 1936. Both crewmen sit in tandem and have dual controls, a camera is fitted. Dimensions 40.9/ 26.4/ 9.3/ 210.4 sq ft; 600hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340-51 Wasp; max speed 220mph; service ceiling 21,000ft; range 700 miles; armament one fixed 0.30in Browning MGs and another in a dorsal mount .
