Summary
The final payment to Britain for the purchase and refit of the Royal Oak is made. The battleship Varna is decommissioned and converted to a museum ship in Varna harbour; she will be deactivated as a military vessel and will require a 15% refit in the event of reactivation. The final Kystendil-class contradestroyer, Stara Zagora, is laid down in Varna. Eighteen of the MTL-1 motor torpedo boats are refurbished with diesel engines.
