It will not be surprising to learn that I intend to have filled up my carrier, cruiser, and destroyer allocations by ~1934 or so. Nor will it surprise y'all that I will be building up my submarine arm, too - anything that agitates the Netherlands is a good thing, right?
It's 1935 and on that remains a blank slate for now. By the time that year rolls around, India's built up to her limits while the treaty system remains intact. If the treaty looks like it's going to fail, I'm in a decent position to start an additional building program so hulls are in the water when the treaty itself terminates.
But if we do continue to find ourselves in a treaty environment for a few more years, I guess a few options exist besides the obvious refit/replacement activities that will be needed - such as one or more of the following:
-More emphasis on non-restricted vessels, such as tenders, auxiliaries, sloops, training carriers, amphibious warfare assets, etc.
-More emphasis on the under-utilized CDS tonnage category. Destroyer-escort types, monitors, and the like.
-More emphasis on infrastructure development. More drydocks. Maybe expansion of my class three slipway capability, so I can allow my CL types to grow beyond 170 m. Maybe I'll stick a port in Asir if I still have it. Who knows?
